Running the Race with Brenda Ford

Apart from Me, you can do nothing,ʺ Jesus said in John 15. It is the Spirit of God, when in control of us (as opposed to being controlled by the flesh), that we bear MUCH fruit. After all, it is His fruit, not ours that He hangs on our branch. Our fruit is small and sour, thatʹs why He prunes us, so that the Vine (Jesus) can bring His life giving nourishment to our branch, thus making us available to bear His fruit. Wow! That He would entrust His fruit on our branch! Knowing her daughter, Emily, is a gift from the Lord, distinctively designed by Him for His glory, Brenda stumbled upon a way to help Emily illuminate her uniqueness. Thus Masterpiece Quilts was born.

Brenda Ford was born into a farming family in Wyoming. After finding a Gideon New Testament in her dresser drawer, she accepted the Lord. She had questions about becoming a Christian and after a friend invited her to church, she committed her life to the Lord. Brenda graduated from Grace College of the Bible (now Grace University), with a major in Missions and Bible and traveled 11 months with Global Outreach Mission to Ireland, the United States, Canada, India, and England. Eventually she settled in Colorado where she met her husband, Richard, whose parents were working at an American Missionary Fellowship camp. Richard and Brenda were married in 1987 and have two children, Emily, age 19 and Abraham, age 15.
